Playland and Playland Film Productions mission is to produce new works and original scripts by collaborating with SF Bay Area playwrights, screenwriters, Bay Area theatre companies and independent filmmakers to provide quality theatrical experiences that enrich, inspire and entertain our audiences.
COMING SPRING, 2021 Playland and Playland Film Productions is excited to be co-Producers in the making of a short film/network series. Auditions were held in April, production began in July. Title and details to follow.
COMING IN 2022 Playland and Playland Film Productions will be co-Executive Producer's in the making two films. An exciting short and a heartwarming feature film. More exciting news to follow!
We are also hoping to produce to a live stage play, Covid restrictions permitting.

Playland Productions is thrilled to present the Bay Area premiere of SILENT CITY by Dan Wilson. A developmental reading for a future stage production of a modern day noir detective story. Carol Stone is a private detective who is out to solve this whodunit murder mystery. Carol Stone is deaf. Yes, stone deaf. Both hilarious and poignant, this unique play will open a window into the culture and challenges of the deaf and hard of hearing communities in the hearing world. SILENT CITY will be spoken in English, American Sign Language (ASL), text and captioning. All deaf roles will be played by deaf actors. Please see Shows & Auditions for more info.
March 8-17th, 2018 Playland Productions proudly presents THE GRATEFUL DEADLY, an original anthology of new works and short plays by 7 esteemed Bay Area Playwrights. Directed by Dan Wilson. (Go to Shows & Auditions) November 17-December 17, 2017 Playland Productions was honored to be Associate Producer in collaboration with East Bay Children's Theatre and Chanticleer's Theatre for "Christmas in Oz," a fundraiser benefit show for EBCT. November 17-December 17, 2017. https://www.ebctonline.org The show was a huge success! All shows were sold out, but more importantly it was a hugely successful fundraiser for EBCT! Next up is their annual musical theatre production offered free during the school year to underserved elementary schools. This year's production is "It Must Be Pinocchio!"
